About Drop Anchor
And why this work exists
Drop Anchor was created for people who are capable, thoughtful, and full of ideas, but running a business and tackling many roles can feel isolating and at times overwhelming.
Drop Anchor gives sense checks, thought mapping and planning support. A safe space where everything doesn’t have to be in place or perfect, where you will gain confidence on how to move forward with clarity and clear goals.
Grant and lending applications can be daunting. Although success can’t be guaranteed, Drop Anchor supports you in preparing strong, structured applications, helping you present your work clearly and put your best foot forward with confidence.
If you are neurodivergent or just in need of tidying plans up, please get in touch, a warm welcome and thoughtful approach is waiting.
I work in a way that’s calm, collaborative and human.
You don’t need to arrive with clarity.
You don’t need to know the right words.
You don’t need a finished idea or a tidy plan.
We start by slowing things down. You talk things through and I help untangle what’s there, reflect it back, and turn it into a direction that feels manageable, structured and presentable for 3rd parties. We will identify gaps and talk through how to fill them together.
The focus is always on creating plans that fit how you think, process information, and manage energy not how a business book says you should. It will become a structure for how you work.
My approach
Who I work with
I work with individuals who are either starting their own businesses or already running one, many encounter obstacles related to planning, decision making, or feeling overwhelmed.
Many of the people I support experience a range of difficulties as they progress through their entrepreneurial journeys:
Business planning can often feel stressful or inaccessible.
They may struggle to organise their thoughts or to clearly express their ideas.
Mental overload or a sense of being stuck is a frequent challenge.
Some are neurodiverse, navigating change, or managing substantial internal demands.
You do not need to categorise or label yourself to work with me. My support is open to all, regardless of how you identify or the challenges you face.
My Background
Before founding Drop Anchor, I worked within Barclays Bank in roles centred on business relationship management, leadership, coaching, performance and training.
I led teams of 4–15 colleagues, managed customer campaigns, reviewed a wide range of business plans, identified commercial gaps, and prepared credit reports to support lending applications referred to underwriters. This required strong analytical skills, structured thinking and the ability to translate complex information into clear, evidence based recommendations.
Much of my professional work involved supporting people under pressure, holding complex conversations, and helping individuals and teams navigate unclear or competing priorities.
I’m also a mum living in a neurodivergent household, where different ways of thinking and processing are part of everyday life. This has shaped how I approach planning, communication and support. I’ve learned that strengths and challenges often sit side by side, so the right structure is important to reduce overwhelm while allowing talent to thrive.
This combined experience means I’m comfortable sitting with uncertainty, calm when things feel messy, and able to help people move forward in ways that genuinely fit how they function.
Get in touch, let’s talk and explore at your pace.
What this isn’t
Drop Anchor isn’t about hustle, pressure, or a one size fits all strategy.
I don’t offer task only support, rigid frameworks, or advice that ignores how people function in real life. Each client is supported in the way that works for them.
We will work in a thoughtful and grounded manner, helping us focus on clarity, direction and sustainability rather than speed.
If you want a human, understanding and constructive approach to business planning, grant and lending applications, or sense checking sessions.
You’re welcome to get in touch in whatever way feels easiest.
You don’t need to prepare anything. Messy is fine.
